Computational Neuropsychiatry Day

Date: 26-11-2024

About CNP Day CNP Day was a full-day interdisciplinary event that brought together researchers from neuroscience, psychiatry, and computational modeling to explore advancements in computational neuropsychiatry. Organized by the Computational Neuropsychiatry Platform (CNP) and supported by the Donders Research Stimulation Fund and by the Radboud Young Academy this event fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange through keynote talks, local research presentations, and hands-on workshops.

Event Highlights:

  • Keynote Lecture: Dr. Rick Adams (UCL) presented on computational approaches in neuropsychiatry
  • Talks by Leading Experts: Presentations by Dr. Hanneke den Ouden and Prof. André Marquand on reinforcement learning and normative modeling
  • Hands-On Workshops: Practical tutorials on computational modeling methods
  • Networking Opportunities: Coffee breaks and closing drinks facilitated discussions and collaboration

Event Impact CNP Day successfully provided a platform for researchers at all career stages to learn about cutting-edge computational methods, engage with experts, and participate in hands-on training. With approximately 90 attendees, the event strengthened interdisciplinary collaborations and inspired future research projects in computational neuropsychiatry. The overwhelming interest in computational modeling training underscored the need for continued workshops and collaborative initiatives.
