Bridging Neuroscience, Psychiatry, and Computational Modeling to Advance Mental Health Research
Computational NeuroPsychiatry (CNP) Nijmegen is a collaborative interdisciplinary initiative aimed at integrating neuroscience, psychiatry, and computational modeling to advance research on brain function and mental health disorders.
Our members are fundamental researchers, clinical researchers, and clinicians based in different institutions in Nijmegen, including research institutes (Donders, Behavioural Science), across multiple faculties of Radboud University (Social Sciences, Medical Sciences, Science), Radboud University Hospital (Psychiatry, Neurology), and clinics (e.g., ProPersona).
Our focus is on developing and applying mathematical models to better understand neural and behavioral mechanisms underlying psychiatric and neurological conditions, as well as the effects of stress on healthy individuals and vulnerability.
Our goal is to connect local, national, and international researchers and clinicians. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across research institutions, clinical settings, and diverse scientific domains, we aim to bridge the gap between fundamental research and real-world applications.
Through joint initiatives, seminars, and collaborative projects, we strive to drive innovation in diagnosis, prediction, and personalized treatment approaches. Our platform serves as a hub for researchers to exchange ideas, develop novel methodologies, and translate computational insights into meaningful clinical advancements.
Join us in shaping the future of neuropsychiatric research through collaboration and innovation.
